Tere' maqtal ki aabroo hum the'
Qatl ke' waqt baa wazoo hum the'
Ye' nadii ab kise' bulaati hai?
Pahle' to is ki justajoo hum the'
Apni basti ko yaad hai ke' nahin
Us ki galiyon ki hao hoo hum the'
Apne' kaam aa gaii wo mahroomi
Pyaas ke' din kinaar-e-joo hum the'
Apne' kuch khwaab yaad aane' lage'
Raat maazi ke' roo ba'roo hum the'
